Binny Hi, the Basics of Business Finance does not have an exam nor a certification. Its a free course that you can enroll without paying any fees.

The Certificate in Investment Banking (http://www.dezyre.com/course-details/1/Certificate-in-Investment-Banking-and-Business-Finance) is a certification course with a final exam.

How can we make a Balance Sheet of last year from Cashflow Statement of current year?

Vivek Typically the cash flow statement bridges the gap between last years balance sheet and current years balance sheet.

So with juts current year cash flows you cant make last years Balance Sheet. But using current year cash flow and balance sheet you can make last year balance sheet.

For example Cash Balance of last year will be current year cash balance +/- net cash flow form cash flow statement.

Short-term liabilities of last year balance sheet will be current year Short-term liabilities +/- net cash flow from paying of and new short-term liabilites

Your question has a very long answer. I will try my best to answer a little here and we can talk about the rest over a phone call.

Investment Bankers are hired by companies to raise money for them and provide advise on buying and selling other companies. To provide this advise, bankers job involves a lot of financial modelling in Excel. So an analyst you will spend all your time building financial models of companies, researching data, projecting future performance, valuation etc.

An Equity Research Analyst write research reports on a Company's stock. The report recommends whether investors should buy or sell a company's stock. They perform similar analysis like bankers do to arrive at the accurate valuation of a company and make recommendations.
