India can become world’s data science service provider. June 30, 2016.Livemint.com

Experts are of the view that India would soon provide an army of data scientists just like IT engineers that it provided in the last decade. Data scientists can become major contributors to our economic growth in future but there are many challenges to it. India will need trained IT professionals with adept database skills, math & statistic skills and programming skills. With limited number of graduates having knowledge of statistics and computer science, India’s undergraduate education needs to lay emphasis on data science courses to become world’s data science provider.
