In my opinion, it depends on how much the investment is on your firm. Once you are sure that the idea is a good one to fetch enough returns, then you can opt to go for an advise from the financial advisor.
For the fees part, I think it depends on how huge the firm is and how much return is expected once you work as per the financial advisor's proposal. I hope this reply helped. Thanks

It all depends on the market reputation of the adviser and if he has some certifications like CFP,NCFM,etc.Also word of mouth publicity as well as his past performance record!Well fees depends on the firm,its size and future returns!
