I had changed the current period to 1-4-2009 to 31-3-2010 but it continues to display 1-4-2008 to 31-3-2009 as the current period in Gateway of Tally. What should I do?

when you start working in Tally ERP 9 you can use Alt+F2 to change the period. but you will have to do this each time. In case you want the latest period to display when you start Tally ERP 9 you will have to split the company file.
for splitting company file please contact your nearest Tally Educational Partner or Tally Sales Partner even. If you have an institute near you that can help you out with this splitting process it will be very helpful.
actually the splitting process is easy. its the things you need to do before you split the company that is important. and esp if you have enables cost centres and job work then you have to be careful. else you can download webinars on Data Management or attend a live webinar on Data Management by going to Tally Solutions website.
