How to lock down values in VLOOKUP?

3 Answer(s)

In the table array, to make values as absolute i.e. from Data!B2:E202 to Data!$B$2:$E$202

Press the 'F4' key which is used as short-cut key for absolute reference.

Locking down the values means making the reference fixed irrespective of copy and paste of formula from one cell to another. In the table array, instructor have first pressed F2 and then taken the cursor to the table array range and then pressed F4 to make the reference an absolute reference...... i.e. Data!B2:E202 has become Data!$B$2:$E$202
