As discussed during the session, my preference for you would be that use the latest version of CDH. It typically would have the latest versions with fixes from older versions that ensure that you have lesser laundry work to do.

CDH4 has been the basis for multiple trainings that I have conducted or even saw some of our team members who attended cloudera training using.
