You can download 4.7 (VMWare June 2014 SHA1: 626595ef7e445ecfb80280b9353340e0e049807c ) which works fine with CDH4.


Downloaded file is .7z format. Extract the contents using any compression utility. It will extract contents in directory "cloudera-quickstart-vm-4.4.0-1-vmware." There would be a different directory name (C:\Users\kabir\Downloads\cloudera-quickstart-vm-4.7.0-0-vmware) after downloading and extracting.

You can download the VM of 4.6 or 4.7. The 4.6 VM link is provided in the CDH4 installation. Do not download 5.1 as the requirements are very much different.
