flume installation, local file system

hi Lambrini,

You can simply do a "cp Desktop/Module9_Flume-conf /home/cloudera/Module9_Flume-conf".

You don't even have to copy the flume conf from Cloudera VM desktop. Start the Flume-ng by referring to the path of flume-conf which is there on the Desktop of cloudera.

Looking at the output from (ls -a) that you pasted, I can't see the Flume-conf. Please confirm on which Desktop is the flume-conf copied? is it windows desktop?

If the flume-conf is there on Windows Desktop, please follow this video on how to copy the file(s) to Cloudera VM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnQxHIJHi6E

Thanks
