Unable to copy flume-conf.properties file

I was trying to upload the flume-conf.properties file which is there is in the google drive to the /usr/lib/flume-ng/apache-flume-1.4.0-bin/conf folder from my local using filezila, but it gives the following error: "Error: /usr/lib/flume-ng/apache-flume-1.4.0-bin/conf/flume-conf.properties: open for write: permission denied
Error: File transfer failed". I am unable to understand why the file transfer is not being done successfully. I tried to copy files into other locations and that was working fine. Please provide a solution asap.

hi Deepthi,

To copy anything to system "lib" folder you need sudo access.
There is already a conf folder in /etc/flume-ng. Please copy the conf file there using the command "sudo cp flume.properties /etc/flume-ng/conf".

How do I get sudo access to copy the file in the lib folder? The tutor told us to copy the flume.properties file from google drive into the flume-ng/conf folder. Please give the exact command which will give sudo access to copy the file into the /usr/lib/flume-ng/apache-flume-1.4.0-bin/conf folder
