You can only install Hadoop on GNU/Linux systems. It's easiest to use an RHEL based distro like CentOS or Fedora.

Hi Bhargav
If you need to install Hadoop on Windows or MAC - you need to install a virtualization software like VMWARE or virtualbox and for installing that you need a 64 bit OS.
Since you dont have - you can connect to our AWS cluster and work on your hadoop assignments

hi Bhargav,
Hadoop cannot be installed on a 32 bit machine. You need to have a 64 bit system (Windows, Linux, Mac) to install a VM and run hadoop.
