If you are using mac you can use EZ7Z and download it from app store.
If windows, use 7zip to extract


That's an compressed file. You need to extract them before using it. I extracted using Winrar application.

The vm is compressed using 7zip format (open format). Please extract using the 7zip available from http://7zip.org/.

using 7zip you can create/extract formats like zip/tar/tar.gz/7zip and much more.
