Hi,
You are using vmware file format to open it into virtual box.
Vmware and Virtual box uses different file system.
You can use the vmware workstation or fusion to convert the file into ovf/ovo format i.e., supported by both vmware as well as virtual box.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

I have a mac, thus I cannot install vmware workstation, and my fusion trial has expired so I cannot convert the file to .ovo or .ovf. I tried downloading ovftools and tried converting using that, but right when the terminal opens it logs in and logs out without letting me place any commands since my trial has expired. I even tried going to file > new command and using the command i got online to convert from vmx to ovo, and that does not work either. Is there any other program I can use apart from Vmware and virtualbox?
