Hi,
You can use any of the drive. But I would recommend you to use one with maximum space.
So, your pseudo mode setup never be sort of memory.
Thanks.

Aditya,
Are you creating a new Virtual Machine? How much space do you have on C:\? And are either of them SSDs (Solid-State Drives)?
If you have enough space on a Solid-State Drive, then you should absolutely choose that over a normal spinning Hard Drive. SSDs are *dramatically* faster, especially for running Virtual Machines.

I feel there is no c/d in Ubuntu. The thing is your installation starts with virtual machine installation. You can install it on any drive of your windows machine but make sure you have 100GB of free space. Once vm is done with installation you need to do is install Ubuntu. Once after ubuntu you will install hadoop etc.
