Hi Ravi,

You can use the linux as OS, you won't find any difficulty during this course.
Make sure you install apache server in your system.

$ sudo apt-get install apache2

If you are using different linux which doesn't support apt-get package. Please share the OS name I would glad to help.

Thanks.

Yes, I have installed apache2, but I'm facing problem in installing cloudera with the help of info provided in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0l87tArUDk . The problem is when I'm trying to install in 16.04 LTS this shows ubuntu 16.04 is not supported.

Hi Ravi,

Thanks for your response.

Please check the supported version of the OS for cloudera CDH-5.

http://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5-3-x/topics/cdh_ig_req_supported_versions.html

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Yes, I already seen this page, i.e. CDH-5 is not supported by ubuntu greater than 14.04. So, there is no other way to install it.

Yes, there is no way you can install the CDH5.

You can install apache hadoop instead.

Apache Hadoop will work fine for this course. Can you provide an official link to install it. Thanks in advance.

Hi Ravi,

I will forward the installation document on your email. Please give me some time.

Thanks.
