Hi Krishna,

As I can see in the screenshot, you have install the hive in /usr/lib/hive.

$ hive  - command is not working, can be two reason - 1. path provided in the .bashrc is incorrect

                                                                                2. you didn't update the system after updated .bashrc

For 1 reason - use the ls command to check where hive/bin is store and enter the same path in .bashrc

For 2 reason -  use the following command - $ exec bash

Or you can directly run the hive from /hive/bin using the following command -

$ /usr/lib/hive/bin/hive

If you are inside bin directory, you can directly write the command:

$ ./hive

Hope this helps.

Hi Abhijit,

I tried the command which you have asked me to do. I am still getting an error. I have attached the screen shot. Can you please give me a call on 2676294431 or Please take my remote of my system using Team Viewer to resolve these errors, I want to practice Hacker day scripts of Hive and Scala.
