From where to get CentOS disc

4 Answer(s)

Is this the correct link to get it?

http://isoredirect.centos.org/centos/7/isos/x86_64/CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1511.iso

and then  I'm choosing http://mirrors.kernel.org/centos/7/isos/x86_64/CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1511.iso

OMG this file is so huge 4.03 GB ?....I'm wondering is this correct file?

Thanks,

_Ritu

Hi Ritu,

Yes, the file is correct but its latest version, you can download the Centos-6.5 from below link:

http://vault.centos.org/6.5/isos/x86_64/

You can also opt for Ubuntu Server instead of Centos. Ubuntu server(14.04) is just 700 MB is serve the same purpose as Centos apart from its GUI.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Hi Abhijit,

When I am trying to install centos-6.5 from the above link,after I clicked on CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso it is redirecting to this page

In order to conserve the limited bandwidth available .iso images are not downloadable from this Vault Machine.

The Following external Vault mirrors (not monitored by the CentOS Infra team !) provide direct downloads for all content, including isos:

USA:
http://archive.kernel.org/centos-vault/
rsync://archive.kernel.org::centos-vault/

http://mirror.symnds.com/distributions/CentOS-vault/
rsync://mirror.symnds.com::CentOS-vault-full/

http://bay.uchicago.edu/centos-vault
rsync://bay.uchicago.edu/centos-vault
ftp://bay.uchicago.edu/centos-vault

Europe:
http://mirror.nsc.liu.se/centos-store/
rsync://mirror.nsc.liu.se::centos-store/

 Can you please help me out in this.

Thanks,

Sireesha.
