Resource Manager and other UI's not working

Hi Vivek,

Please share the output of the following URL: http://localhost:8088/cluster

There is no special configuration required. Everything is pre-setup by Cloudera.

Please share the information requested.

Thanks

Hi,

Following is the error reported from the Browser. Please note, nothing is working (not even the commands). I have just downloaded and imported the VM Image.

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:8088.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Hi Vivek,

Once you install the Cloudera VM with Vmware or Virtual box, please keep few things:

1. If you are using Vmware, it will automatically configure your network connectivity between Windows/MAC and Cloudera VM

If you are using Virtual Box, you have to manually set the Network Adapter as Bridge Adapter(which works most of the time) or try NAT.

2. To use the Hadoop services you have to first login to Cloudera Manager, once you login, it will automatically start all the Hadoop services for you.

Note: Please make sure you are using localhost:8088/cluster inside the Cloudera VM only. It won't work outside VM.

Hope this works for you.

Thanks.

Thanks Abhijit,

Issue is resolved and everything is working perfectly fine. I will test all the commands and let you know if I face any prblem.

Regards

Vivek
