Hi Karan,

Two issues:

1. I'n unable to install Maven in cmd : my  local.

2. After submiting the Jar, my word count driver didnt show me expected results. (probably this is due to point 1. issue)

Both issues are unrelated

1. You need to add the maven bin folder to windows Path

ex C:\Program Files\apache-maven-3.5.4\bin in windows environment variables

2. You have a FIleNotFoud Exception. Please check that input data files are in your path  using

hdfs dfs -ls /user/cloudera/tclass3/wc-input

1. i could set the env variables and now the issue is fixed

2. yes, i have stored the files in that folder

cloudera@localhost ~]$ hdfs dfs -ls /user/cloudera/tclass3/wc-input
Found 3 items
-rw-r--r--   3 cloudera cloudera       4372 2018-08-08 12:38 /user/cloudera/tclass3/wc-input/data1.txt
-rw-r--r--   3 cloudera cloudera       4995 2018-08-08 12:38 /user/cloudera/tclass3/wc-input/data2.txt
drwxr-xr-x   - cloudera cloudera          0 2018-08-08 12:37 /user/cloudera/tclass3/wc-input/wordcount
what can be done next?

in /user/cloudera/tclass3/wc-input/ path you should have only input text files data1.txt and data2.txt

But there seems to be a directory present apart from the two files  /user/cloudera/tclass3/wc-input/wordcount

That needs to be removed

Try this command to remove the directory

hdfs dfs -rmdir /user/cloudera/tclass3/wc-input/wordcount
