Isn't operating income = Gross Income - Operating Expenses?
In the video of financial projections, Formula for Operating income is shown as Revenue minus the operating expenses. Shouldn't it be Gross Profit minus Operating expenses?

Yes you are right Gross Profit - Opex = Operating Income.
However, many time companies done explicitly break out COGS and Gross Profit and club everything in the Opex.
