IF statement is used for decision-making.

It is used to check whether a condition is met, returns one value if True and another value if Falseā.

SYNTAX is given as

=IF (Logic_Test, Value_if_True, Value_if_False)

The 3 parameters used in IF function are explained as follows:

1)Logical_test - A test on a cell value that is either TRUE or FALSE

2)Value_if_true - The value Excel will put in a cell if the test is true

3)Value_if_false - The value Excel will put in a cell if the test fails
