Not able to Install Filezilla on windows

Kiran - just install FileZilla on your Windows machine. You should be able connect to the Cloudera IP instance anyways and it will be easier for you to upload data files from Windows vs the VMWare player.

hi Kiran, Rakesh,

You don't need to install FileZilla . What you can do is, select the VM, click on Settings -> General -> Advanced tab -> select "Bidirectional" for "Shared Clipboard" and "DragnDrop" . once saved, restart the VM, after you login to VM, open the file system browser, select a file from windows and drag into file browser.

This way you can move files to VM from windows.

Thanks

I tried to check the VM settings and not able to see any. Can you send me some screen shots.

hi Kiran,

You dont have to install filezilla or winscp to transfer files to Clouder VM.
Please follow these steps to copy files to VM:

Select the VM in the Virtualbox, go to Settings->General->Advanced -> Select "Bidirectional" under "Shared Clipboard" and "DragnDrop". after the changes were made, login to the vm, open file browser from the desktop.

Now select file(s) from windows and drag into the file browser of VM.

Thanks
