Bhaskar,
The easiest way you can do is (assuming you have windows m/c)
(1) Download Oracle Virtual Machine (VirtualBox-4.3.20-96997-Win.exe)
(2) Download "cloudera-quickstart-vm-4.7.0-0-virtualbox.7z" from cloudera website.
(3) Unzip the above file. You will get 2 files "cloudera-quickstart-vm-4.7.0-0-virtualbox-disk1.vmdk" and "cloudera-quickstart-vm-4.7.0-0-virtualbox.ovf"
(4) Install Oracle VM
(5) Import Applicance "cloudera-quickstart-vm-4.7.0-0-virtualbox.ovf"
This is easy and shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to install. Downloading software could take time
Note : I have installed HortonWroks sandbox and cloudera sandbox on my windows machine
Hope this helps
Regards
