Recipe Objective - How to create the discrete line chart in Tableau?

Discrete line charts are two different line charts with different axes for each of the line charts.

For creating the discrete line chart, we must have one date column and two measures.

Steps to create the Discrete Line chart:

Step 1:

Connect the "Sample-Superstore" data set.

Step 2:

Drag the "Order-Date" and drop it onto the "column" shelf.

Step 3:

Drag the "Sales" and the "Profit" and drop them onto the "row" shelf one by one.

Step 4:

Click on the "Show me" button and select the "discrete line chart" option.

And Our Discrete Line Chart is Ready!
