Recipe Objective - How to create Hierarchy Charts in Tableau?

The Hierarchy chart in tableau combines different data features into one feature and analyzes them together. Hierarchy charts are often used in retail sales data analysis.

Steps to create Hierarchy Chart.

Step 1 > Connect the "world_cup_results.xlsx" data set.

Step 2 > Drag the "Game" measure and drop it onto column shelf.

Step 3 > Drag the "Team" dimension and drop it onto "Opponent" dimension and name the hierarchy as "Match".

Step 4 > Drag the "Match" dimension and drop it onto row shelf.

Step 5 > Click the + or - icon on the hierarchy field to display added fields in visualization.
