Recipe Objective - How does the DATENAME function work in tableau?

The DATENAME function returns the part of the date in the form of a "string." The output of this function depends upon the "date_part."

Syntax of the DATENAME Function:

DATENAME(date_part, date, [start_of_week]). "[start_of_week]" is optional.

Example: DATENAME('month', #2021-05-27#) = "May".
