Recipe Objective - How to find AVERAGE using Power BI DAX?
Task - Find out the average sales generated in the superstore dataset.
Apply Machine Learning to Demand Forecasting Data Science Problems
Step 1 - Open Power BI report
Step 2 - New measure
Go to Fields pane -> Right-click on Dataset -> New measure
Step 3 - Dax query(AVERAGE function)
Write down the formula as Avg_sales = AVERAGE([Sales])
This measure will calculate the average sales generated.
In this way, we can find AVERAGE using Power BI DAX.
