Recipe Objective - How to find PERCENTILE using Power BI DAX?

Task - Find out the percentile of sales in the superstore dataset.

Table of Contents

Step 1 - Open Power BI report

Step 2 - New measure

Go to Fields pane -> Right-click on Dataset -> New measure

Step 3 - Dax query(PERCENTILE.EXC function)

For 25th percentile, per_sales = PERCENTILE.EXC([Sales],0.25)

This measure will calculate the 25th percentile of sales.

For 50th percentile, per_sales = PERCENTILE.EXC([Sales],0.5)

This measure will calculate the 50th percentile of sales.

For 75th percentile, per_sales = PERCENTILE.EXC([Sales],0.75)

This measure will calculate the 75th percentile of sales.

In this way, we can find PERCENTILE using Power BI DAX.
