Recipe Objective - How to use the shape field in Tableau?

The shape field helps to represent the data into the different shapes. For using the "shapes" field, first, create a scatter plot chart.

Step 1:-

Connect "Sample-Superstore" data set.

Step 2:-

Drag "Sales" measure and drop it onto the "column" shelf.

Step 3:-

Drag "Profit" measure and drop it onto the "row" shelf.

Step 4:-

Now drag the "sub-Category" field and go to the "marks" card and drop it onto the "shapes" field.

Now each "Sub-Category" will represent the different shape.

How to change the shapes?

Click on the "Shapes" field and click on the drop-down and choose any shape.
