Recipe Objective - What are Tornado charts, How to make a Tornado chart in power bi?

Tornado Chart allows us to compare categories of data vertically similar to a bar chart. There is no built-in Tornado chart visualization, so we have to import it.

Task - Make a Tornado chart that displays the Profit and Sales of each Sub-Category.

Step 1 - Open power bi report

Step 2 - Import the 'Tornado chart' visual in the power bi report.

To import 'Tornado chart', go to Visualization pane -> Click on three dots -> Get more visuals -> Search 'Tornado chart' -> Add 'Tornado chart'

Step 3 - Add the 'Tornado chart' visual in the power bi report.

To add 'Tornado chart', go to Visualization pane -> Drag and drop 'Tornado chart' visual in power bi report.

Step 4 - Add fields into the 'Tornado chart' visual

Put 'Sub-Category' in the Group field.

First, put 'Profit' in the Values field and then put 'Sales' in the same field.

In this way, we can make and use Tornado charts in the power bi report.
