Explain difference between a document and a vector in Gensim

In this recipe, we will learn the difference between a document and a vector in the Gensim library. A document is a text and a vector is a representation of a text.

Recipe Objective: What is the difference between a document and a vector in Gensim?

A document differs from a vector as the former is text, and the latter is a mathematically handy representation of the text. People will occasionally use the phrases interchangeably; for example, instead of saying "the vector that corresponds to document A," they will say "the vector A" or "the document A." This results in simplicity at the expense of confusion.

The preceding uncertainty is acceptable as long as you remember that documents exist in document space and vectors exist in vector space.

It's also worth noting that two separate documents may have the exact vector representations, depending on how the representation was collected.
