Recipe Objective - What is the use of the UPPER function in Tableau?

The UPPER function returns a string with all characters in upper case. It is a widely used function in tableau.

Steps to create the UPPER function:

Step 1 > Connect the "NFL Offensive Player stats, 1999-2013.xlsx" data set.

Step 2 > Create "Upper Player" dimension calculated field using UPPER([Player]) calculation.

Step 3 > Drag the "Player" dimension and drop it onto the row shelf.

Step 4 > Drag the "Upper Player" dimension and drop it onto Text under Marks card.
