If data is entered in columns or rows, how can I rearrange that data into rows or columns instead?

To rearrange your data:

1) Select your table or range of data

2) Copy your entire data range.

3) Click on a new location in your sheet, then go to Paste Special and select the Transpose check box.

4) Click OK, and Excel will transpose the column and row labels and data


You can also use Transpose function to rearrange data from rows to columns, or vice versa. TRANSPOSE must be entered as an array formula. To achieve this, finish by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER.

=TRANSPOSE(array)

(array) -- An array or range of cells on a worksheet that you want to transpose.
