Problems With Sqoop

I am trying start my project with NYSE. I am trying to walk through the example from the sqoop module and I cannot get the sqoop command to work. I am pretty sure it is correct. I went through the video but can't get past this point.

my command: sqoop import --connect jdbc:mysql:// --table player --username root -P --target-dir /user/cloudera/sqoopOut1 -m 1

message I get: Warning: /usr/lib/sqoop/../accumulo does not exist! Accumulo imports will fail.
Please set $ACCUMULO_HOME to the root of your Accumulo installation.

Sandeep did not run into this issue. Not sure why I am. I never heard of Accumulo and there is not much info on it on the net or in books. Please advise. Thanks.

hi Carl,

Accumulo is based on a key-value based datastore based on Google's BigTable. Not sure if Sandeep is executing older version of sqoop. All newer versions of Sqoop give out the warning, its ok.

I hope you were able to execute Sqoop and pull data to hdfs.

I had to re-install cloudera because my hard drive crashed. I seemed to resolve the previous problem. Now I get the following: Could not load db driver

Please provide some solution to this problem so I can complete my project

you need to add MySQL connector jar in /usr/lib/sqoop/lib/ folder
then i guess it will work
