I have my class starting next week at May 30. Should I install any software or do any preparation before the class?

hi Sreeharsha,
For the class, please install Virtualbox (http://virtualbox.org/) specific to the OS that you are using. Once Virtulbox is installed, download CDH4.7 from this link (http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera/en/downloads/quickstart_vms/cdh-4-7-x.html) and load into Virtualbox.
