Hi Hamza,
Thank you for providing the error snapshot.
1. Please check you type the correct command - hadoop fs -mkdir /dezyre. You miss the '/' in the command.
2. command - hadoop fs -cp /employee.txt /dezyre/. No dezyre directory is found because failure of 1st command.
3. command - hadoop fs -mv /employee.txt /newemployee.txt. Please check whether employee.txt file exist or not.
4. other errors are just because above failures mostly because of 1st.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi Abhijit,
Thank you for the response. When i ran first command hadoop fs -ls /. In the document result, there is employee.txt is first line of result. My output is not showing that. Please see snapshot. Also see the result for mkdir command now i am getting error access denied. How to check if employee.txt exist or not. Thanks

hi Hamza,

Generally on Linux, you should not do a ls -al "/" as this is in control of "root" user. I guess you are using cloudera VM, We have a video that explains and demo's all the HDFS commands https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1er-Kkl7mq8
