This recipe explains what is the use of Line or Arrow object in QlikView

Recipe Objective:-What is the use of the Line/Arrow object in QlikView?

Step 1:-

Open QlikView 12 software. Here a Start page will, by default available; if we do not want we can also untick the check box given below and avoid the start page while launching QlikView every time.

Step 2:-

On the start page, we can see the Examples, Recent, and Favorites tab. The saved files will appear under the Recent tab.

Step 3:-

When the QlikView 12 Software gets Open, A blank window appears. Go to menu bar->click on File menu->click on New-> The Main sheet appears; here, in this case, there is no need to load the data; therefore, the data will not get loaded in the Main sheet/Qlikview document.

Step 4:-

Go to Main sheet->Right click->New sheet object->Line/Arrow Object->General tab->Orientation 'Horizontal'->The Orientation can be changed according to the requirement->Select Line style of choice->Select Arrow style of choice->The Arrow style can also be changed according to the requirement->Now Right click on Line object->Properties->Select Arrow style->A arrow will be displayed in Main sheet->Right click on Arrow object->Properties->Actions tab->Action Type, select External->Select Action as 'Open URL'->Type the URL and click on Ok->Select Line Weight as '2 pt' from general tab->If we want to change the color, here the color option is also provided in general tab->then click on Ok.

Step 5:-

Click Arrow object->It will redirect us to the Provided URL->Then Again go to the main sheet->The Line/Arrow object will be displayed in the Main sheet/QlikView document and can use accordingly.
